The Riad

A riad is a traditional Moroccan house with an open-air patio, found in the medinas, the historic centres of Morocco’s imperial cities surrounded by ramparts.

The Patio

The riad is built around a patio with a pool or fountain that refreshes the atmosphere. The patio is the centre of the house, and the bedrooms and living room face towards it to cut out the noise and heat of the city, creating a feeling of calm.

The basin

Surrounded by two palm trees, the pool will refresh you after a busy day in the medina. Birds love to come here in search of coolness and calm, and their song will lull you to sleep during the day.

The lounge

The lounge is enclosed by a glass roof, where you can take refuge for lunch or dinner on hot days, or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation with its connected TV and library.

The terrace

The riad’s exceptional terrace offers several distinct areas. The solarium lets you enjoy the Moroccan sunshine, and a table is available for breakfast or dinner. A lounge on the roof top offers one of the finest views in Marrakech of the Mamounia gardens, the Royal Palace and the Koutoubia. The terrace is adorned with magnificent bougainvilleas, adding colour and the sensation of being in a garden.
